Bordering the airport to the east with an overall planned area of 20 k㎡, the Supporting Industry Zone for FedEx Asia-Pacific Express Hub is planned to be developed into the largest airport economic zone in China. Taking FedEx Asia-Pacific Express Hub as the core, this area is mainly engaged in air logistics, bonded processing, modern manufacture and business trade. FedEx Asia-Pacific Express Hub, right beside this area, is a major project of Huadu with a total investment of 2.5 billion RMB and covers an overall area of 1.8 k㎡. When it is officially put into operation in 2008 according to the plan, it will become an express hub of super-large scale which covers more than 30 countries in Asia-Pacific region.
