Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co, Ltd (GAMECO), located in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, is a joint venture established in Oct, 1989 between China Southern Airlines Co. Ltd.(CSN), Hutchison Whampoa (China) Ltd.(HWCL) from Hong Kong, and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Service International (LMASI) from the U.S.A. In late 2002 Hutchison Whampoa (China) Ltd. acquired the shares from another shareholder Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Service International and GAMECO is now a joint venture between CSN and HWCL. GAMECO is a joint CAAC, FAA and JAA approved MRO and can perform multi-levels of aircraft maintenance checks for Boeing 737, 757, 767, 777, 747 as well as Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. GAMECO owns state-of-the-art Component Business Center, providing extensive component repair capability to support world-class schedule commitment. The GAMECO new aircraft hanger at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is the longest-span truss structure in China. |
